Not my best race yesterday at Llanelli British Sup Not my best race yesterday at Llanelli British Super Series Triathlon. I finished about 20th (results still to be finalised) which is well down on my expectation and where my training is.

The swim was a beach start and I got pushed out and found myself stuck towards the back of the pack. I had to swim to the outside and then around everyone to get myself back towards the front. I managed to come out of the swim in 6th place.

I had a fast transition to come out on the bike 3rd. I was in the first bike pack with just two off the front ahead of us. I rode strongly and positioned myself well for all the dead turns. I got out of position coming into transition and was towards the back of the pack. 

Another rapid transition got me out on the run in about 6th place. This is where my race fell apart. (see the last photo) I just didn’t feel right in my stomach on the run and had to stop a couple times. I managed to finish but can only think about what could have been. 
Lots to take back to training and some adjustments to be made to my pre-race. I have a couple of weeks now to get focussed before my next race. Thanks for all the support it means a lot to me. 1st race of the 2023 British Triathlon Super Serie 1st race of the 2023 British Triathlon Super Series tomorrow in #Llanelli Pleased to announce I will be racing this season in a Yonda performance trisuit as a #yondalete I have been racing in a Yonda wetsuit for the past 3 seasons. It is the quickest and most comfortable wetsuit I have worn. It is also far more durable than some other well known brands. I feel the Yonda performance trisuit has far less drag in the water and is much easier to unzip on the run.
